All GP appointments are now telephone or video consultations (not face-to-face).

You will only be asked to attend Surgery to see a GP under certain circumstances.

Appointments to see our Practice Nurse will continue to be face-to-face.


If you are asked to attend this Surgery for a face-to-face appointment,

please wear your own face covering or mask.

You will be asked to use hand-sanitzer before entering this Practice.


This Practice is working under strict infection control guidelines.


No patients are waiting in the waiting rooms,

so you will need to attend if requested at the exact appointment time.

Please ring our door bell on arrival, and a receptionist will let you into the premises.

eConsult is not for requesting prescriptions/medication

If you would like to request a repeat prescription, please send an email to southgatesurgery@nhs.net

with your name, date of birth, and the medication that you need.

Please would you also nominate a Pharmacy where you can collect your medication,

as your prescription will be sent directly to them.



You can now refer yourself for physiotherapy treatment without having to see your GP.

 Please visit www.physioselfrefer.co.uk/BEH to register. 

Your details will be forwarded to a Physiotherapist for assessment.

Order Repeat Medication Online

Routine repeat prescriptions can be issued on receipt of a written request, without having to see a Doctor. These requests should either be placed in the box at Reception, or posted to the Surgery. If you enclose a stamped addressed envelope, the prescription will be posted to you. 


Requests which arrive before 12 noon are usually available to collect from the Surgery 48 working hours later. Please make sure that you allow enough time for possible postal delays.


All patients will be on our computer repeat prescription system, and we ask that the instructions on the prescription ‘tear off’ portion are observed, ie. to tick the drugs required.


From time to time, the Doctor will require you to make an appointment to ensure the continuation of your prescription. When this is due, the computer slip will tell you to ‘see Doctor this time’. An appointment should be made well in advance of your supply running out.


Our Practice Policy states that it is not possible to accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.


However, if you have any questions regarding your prescription, we recommend that you call this Surgery between 9.00am to 1.00pm, Monday to Friday, and chose option 3, when somebody will be able to help you.


When medication is prescribed by a hospital, we can only issue a prescription for this medication once we have received email/written/faxed confirmation from the hospital. We do not transfer Private Prescriptions to NHS Prescriptions.


Order Your Repeats Online With EmisWeb



Once you have registered for Online Patient Services, you will be able to order repeat prescriptions online.


Show your photo ID  such as a passport or driving licence, to a Receptionist.  You will be given details of how to register.



Electronic Prescription Service


Register for the Electronic Prescription Service so that your prescription can be sent directly to your chosen pharmacy or chemist.  Once you have completed your prescription request (preferably online), you can collect your medication from the pharmacy or chemist, without the need to collect a paper prescription from the Surgery.


Complete a form today (available from Reception) and hand it to either our Reception staff or to your pharmacist / chemist.
